In my previous post, I explored the life of William “Billy” Perry. In this post, I want to take a closer look at how Billy and his immediate family connect to our branch of the family tree.
As I started mapping these relationships out, I quickly realized many of the Perrys were connected multiple ways through marriages, siblings, cousins, and overlapping family lines. What started as a simple chart slowly turned into a tangled genealogy spiderweb.
Below are three infographics, one for each of Billy's wives, showing how their families connect back to mine. Interestingly, all three of Billy's wives can be found somewhere within my family tree. I also strongly suspect I will eventually connect Billy himself through the Lowery family on my maternal grandfather's side and the Rogers family on my paternal great-grandfather's side. At this point, the Perry family seems to appear no matter which branch I climb.
Wife #1 Delilah Harrison
Billy Perry and his first wife, Delilah Harrison, had nine children together, though only four are shown in the infographic. I chose to focus on the four children whose spouses also appear elsewhere in my family tree, creating multiple overlapping connections between the Perry family and my own.
